Contact Pins & Probes

Contact pins and probes carry signal or make a temporary electrical connection. They are small, turned to close diameter tolerance, and usually plated: gold over nickel for contact resistance and wear. A twisted or crowned head bites the pad; the body slides in a receptacle.

We turn contact pins, spring-probe bodies, connector pins and hinge pins in brass and copper alloys, then plate to spec. Screw-machine tolerances on parts you place by the thousand on a board or in a connector shell.
